In 2007, the company bought David Lloyd Leisure from Whitbread plc. As Group CEO of David Lloyd Leisure, Scott led the integration and subsequent growth of the company until a successful sale to TDR Capital in September 2013. Scott stayed with the company as CEO before assuming the role of vice president. In January 2018, Scott joined the LTA as CEO of British Tennis. Simon has been Chief Financial Officer at LTA since October 2016 and is responsible for Legal and Technology. He has over 10 years of experience in sport with various organizations. Most recently, he was Head of Finance and Business Development at Team Sky, advising stakeholders such as owners, team leaders and athletes on financial and business matters. In this capacity, he also worked with British Cycling and the Sky organisation on their participation programme. Vicky began her HR career at leading retailer Marks and Spencer. Olly has extensive experience in British tennis, having held various positions at LTA since 2004. In addition to competition, in his roles he led our work on tennis programs, including mini-tennis, and supported commercial tennis operators David Lloyd Leisure and Virgin Active. Michael Bourne joined LTA in October 2020 as Chief Performance Officer and oversees the development and execution of the performance strategy for LTA. Chris started his career at Accenture, where he worked as a consultant for the London 2012 Olympic Games bid before joining the London 2012 Organising Committee. He led several data and digital projects, developed the customer experience strategy and led several operational projects during the Games.
After the London Games, Chris spent 6 years as an international sports and events consultant, developing strategic and operational plans for the Asian Martial Arts Games and World Expo, and working for a number of sports federations including the International Tennis Federation, the International Olympic Committee, the Football Association and Team Ineos. Toaigaoaloalii Matthew Wendt Manager – Procurement and Programming Division Michael has extensive experience in elite performance programs and player development in various sports. Prior to LTA, he spent 6 years at UK Sport and took on a number of roles, including a period as Performance Director, which included overseeing investments in Olympic and Paralympic sports in the UK. He was also responsible for performance functions that supported the preparation of the best athletes for the Games. Vicky was previously Director of Human Resources for Compass Group`s Business and Industry Division, where she worked for 21 years. During her time at Compass Group, Vicky developed and delivered the company`s first online training program for newcomers and an award-winning apprenticeship program. Julie Porter joined LTA in May 2018 as Chief Operating Officer. Julie started her career in 1991 as an intern at Aldi before joining Lidl as Regional Director. In 2000 she joined David Lloyd Leisure (part of the Whitbread Group) in operations and moved to Barcelona in 2003 to develop David Lloyd Leisure in Spain as Country Manager. She returned in 2006 to take up a position as Director of Product Development. Following the sale of Whitbread`s DLL to a private equity group, she joined Scott Lloyd`s team as Director of Marketing and Product Development and was appointed COO in 2013. Chris is responsible for delivering LTA`s major events program, maximizing the experience for players, fans and partners, and enhancing the visibility of LTA`s event portfolio. He is also responsible for overseeing LTA`s digital transformation work and implementing digital projects that help implement LTA`s strategy to open up tennis. Olly Scadgell joined the management team in May 2014 as Director of Major Events and Competitions, overseeing the operation of our pre-Wimbledon events in Nottingham, Birmingham and Eastbourne, as well as the Davis and Federation Cups and the international and national tournament calendar. As Director of Participation, Olly now oversees our work in the areas of participation, competition and safeguarding. Muliagatele Makerita Matafeo Director/CEO Accident Compensation Corporation Prior to joining LTA, Scott had a successful business career in the sports and leisure industry. He founded the health, fitness and racquet club group, Next Generation Clubs, in 1997 and has expanded the company internationally by developing an Australian portfolio of clubs alongside the UK portfolio. In 2006, he led the sale of the UK business to London & Regional Properties and remained with the company as CEO. A year later, he sold the Australian portfolio to Kings Park Capital and led the investment until 2014.
