If you have not yet started the LPC, you can become a trainee lawyer by following our Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship Pathway to Qualification. Our 24-month training contract provides you with excellent training and experience in four six-month jobs in various fields of activity, covering everything needed to qualify as a lawyer. During this time, you will have the opportunity to perform a range of different jobs with a strong network of supervisory support and mentoring. Amelia Beyaslian, who is currently signing her apprenticeship contract with HSS, adds: “I was offered an apprenticeship contract at my former company and as happy and grateful as I was, I quickly realized that the company was not going in the direction I wanted for my professional development. The duration of the apprenticeship contract depends on the relevant previous experience of the candidate. If they have 12 months or more of experience, the duration is 18 months. If the candidate has no experience or no related experience, it takes two years. A training contract at a regional law firm is a very good option.
