• Two years of practical experience as a lawyer/lawyer in public and/or private practice; • Excellent legal writing and negotiation skills in English; • qualification for admission to the Bar; • Initiative, sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work in harmony with employees from different national and cultural backgrounds; This Legal Analyst position is located in the UNFPA Legal Unit. The Legal Department provides the highest quality and timely support and advice on legal issues raised by UNFPA, an international intergovernmental development organization. The Legal Analyst will assist in the provision of legal advice on procurement, resource mobilization, financing for development, privileges and immunities, liability and employment. The position supports UNFPA officials in their operations and takes legal considerations into account when making management decisions. This will increase the level of protection of UNFPA against legal risks and liability and strengthen managerial accountability. To ensure success, legal analysts must be skilled in exceptional legal research, analysis, and communicators with a keen interest in providing accurate and intuitive advice to lawyers and legal teams. The best candidates will be experts in important legal fundamentals with amazing administrative skills, solid IT knowledge and attention to detail. A senior paralegal assists lawyers in acquiring information necessary for legal research, document preparation and other delegated tasks. They usually specialize in certain areas of law, such as: tax law. We are looking for a legal analyst with excellent organizational and business skills. Legal analysts are expected to work under pressure after tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment. A contract manager is responsible for entering into contractual agreements between the company and its clients, reviewing documents, preparing procurement proposals, and immediately handling violations.

Contract managers respond to customer inquiries and concerns about contract terms and customization requests. They must be very familiar with legal terms and regulations and ensure that the documents are consistent with their objectives. The contract manager must also keep abreast of the latest trends to meet contract requirements, identify more business opportunities to increase revenue, and achieve profitability goals. The post of Legal Analyst is part of the UNFPA Young Professionals from Africa and Afro-descendant programme. The program is designed to provide on-the-job training to young professionals who want to gain hands-on international development experience and have the potential to take on influential leadership positions across the organization.
